ZeroTrace Download

Verify a certificate

Check it's genuine. Nothing gets uploaded.

Got a laptop or a drive that came with a ZeroTrace certificate? Drop the file below to check it hasn't been tampered with and to see what was done to the drive. Everything runs in your browser, and the file never leaves your computer.

Certificate
Drop the certificate here, or choose a file

If whoever erased the drive gave you their public key (a .pub file), paste it here to confirm the certificate came from them.

What the result means

A valid signature means the certificate hasn't been changed since it was issued. It only tells you who issued it if the signing key matches a public key you already trust. Certificates marked self-attested were signed with a one-off key: the contents are intact, but anyone could have made one.

The check uses Ed25519 through your browser's built-in Web Crypto, over the RFC 8785 canonical form of the file. The certificate format is documented on GitHub.
